Why Mariscove exists
Mariscove started with two people and a habit. One woman, one man, both with day jobs, both spending their free evenings styling friends, cousins, neighbours, anyone who asked. What began as a favour became a practice: a running conversation about proportion, fabric, colour, and what actually works on real people on real days. At some point the obvious question arrived. If this is what we think about every evening anyway, why not build something of our own with it?
That is the honest version of the founding story. There was no investor and no grand plan, just two stylists who wanted to turn the thing they love into the thing they live from, for themselves and for their family, and to do work they can enjoy years from now. Mariscove is the answer to that question. It is a shop for women and men, run by the two people whose taste it reflects, and every part of it, from the colour of the logo to the way a return is handled, goes past both of them.
Our mission
We want dressing well to feel effortless rather than exhausting. That means clothes with clean lines and honest proportions, described plainly, sold at their regular price, and backed by service that behaves like a person is on the other end, because one is.
Our vision
We are building a shop that people return to not because a banner told them to, but because the last order arrived quickly, fitted, and looked exactly like the photos. If in a few years Mariscove is the first address a customer thinks of when an invitation says something with a dress code, we will have done it right.
How our assortment comes together
Every season we look at what is actually being searched for and worn in Australia, and we build the assortment around that demand: everyday blouses, trousers and sets first, jackets for the cooler months, shorts and easy separates for the warm ones. Each product is checked for consistency before it goes live: the listed colours match the photos, the sizes follow one convention across the whole shop, and the description sticks to what is visible in the images. Where a surface imitates a material rather than being it, the name says so, leather-look, wool-look, cashmere-look, because a product page should never promise more than the picture shows.
Quality and service, in numbers
The promises we make are deliberately few and easy to check. Shipping within Australia is free on every order, with tracking on every parcel. Your order is packed within 1 to 3 business days and travels 4 to 6 days, so 5 to 9 business days from order to door, and if you order by 2:00 PM AEST (Australian Eastern Time) on a business day, processing starts the same day. Returns and exchanges are open for 30 days from delivery, and refunds land back on your original payment method within 7 calendar days of us receiving, checking and approving the return. An exchange into another size or colour is sent out as soon as your return has arrived and been approved. If anything about an order is unclear, we answer email at info@mariscove.com, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM AEST, and on weekends from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM AEST (Australian Eastern Time).
The world we design for
The shop is organised the way people actually get dressed: women and men each have their own collection, with blouses for the invitations, jackets for the months that need them, trousers to finish the outfit, sets for her and sets and shorts for him. Wandering through the collections tells you more about our taste than any paragraph could.
One last thing
Every label, every shop, every brand tells you it was founded on a dream. This one was founded on a habit that refused to stay a hobby. The two of us still style the people around us, still argue about hems, and still open every email from a customer ourselves. Start with the collections, or simply write to us. Either way, you now know who you are buying from.
